Privacy policy
This policy covers what we collect from you, why we collect it, and what happens to it afterward.
Last updated: January 1, 2026
Who we are
CityPAC (“CityPAC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is an independent, bipartisan, pro-Israel political action committee based in Chicago, Illinois. This policy applies to citypac.org and to the information we collect through this website, our email program, and our events.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details. Your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address, when you sign up for updates, contact us, register for an event, or become a member.
- Message content. Whatever you write in our contact form, including the topic you select.
- Contribution information. When you contribute, we collect what federal law requires us to collect and report: your name, mailing address, occupation, employer, and the amount and date of the contribution. Card details are handled by our payment processor. CityPAC does not store full card numbers on its own systems.
Information collected automatically
Our web host records standard server log data such as IP address, browser type, referring page, and the date and time of your request. We use this only to keep the site secure and working properly. We do not run third-party advertising trackers on citypac.org, and we do not use cookies for behavioral advertising.
How we use your information
- To respond to your questions and follow up on your requests.
- To send you news, invitations, and updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To process contributions and to keep the records federal law requires us to keep.
- To organize events, committees, and volunteer activity.
- To protect the security and integrity of our site and our organization.
We do not sell your information
CityPAC does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only in the limited circumstances described below.
When we disclose information
- Legally required reporting. As a political committee, the Federal Election Campaign Act requires us to report certain contributor information to the Federal Election Commission: name, mailing address, occupation, employer, and contribution amount. Those reports become public records. Neither you nor CityPAC can opt out of this.
- Service providers. We use vendors for email delivery, payment processing, form handling, and website hosting. They may access your information only to perform services for us and are expected to protect it.
- Legal process and safety. We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of CityPAC, our supporters, or the public.
Contribution eligibility
Federal law prohibits contributions from corporations and from foreign nationals. When you contribute, you are confirming that you are a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident, that the contribution is made from your own funds, and that you are not being reimbursed by another person or entity. We collect the information needed to verify these requirements.
How we protect your information
We serve this site over HTTPS, limit access to supporter data to the people who need it, and use payment processors that maintain industry-standard security practices. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you give us.
Your choices
- Email. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also email us to be removed from our lists.
- Access, correction, and deletion. Email us to review, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. We honor these requests except where the law requires us to keep records, most notably contribution records subject to FEC reporting and retention rules.
- Do Not Track. Because we do not track visitors across other websites, we take no additional action in response to Do Not Track browser signals.
Children’s privacy
Our website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
Our site may link to news articles, government resources, or partner organizations. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
