These terms govern your use of citypac.org. They are short enough to actually read, so please do.

Agreement to these terms
By accessing or using citypac.org (the “Site”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. The Site is operated by CityPAC, an independent, bipartisan, pro-Israel political action committee based in Chicago, Illinois.
Who may use the Site
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Site, and at least 18 years old to make a contribution or enter into any transaction with us. By using the Site you represent that you meet these requirements and that any information you provide is accurate and your own.
Contributions
Contributions made through the Site support CityPAC’s political activity. They are subject to federal law and to the following terms:
- Contributions to CityPAC are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.
- Federal law prohibits contributions from corporations and from foreign nationals (persons who are not U.S. citizens or lawfully admitted permanent residents).
- You must make the contribution from your own personal funds, not from the funds of another person or entity, and you must not be reimbursed for it by anyone else.
- Contributions must be made on a personal credit or debit card in your own name, not a corporate card.
- Federal law requires us to report the name, mailing address, occupation, employer, and amount for contributors who exceed the reporting threshold. These reports are public.
- Contributions are generally final. If you believe a contribution was made in error or without authorization, contact us promptly and we will work with you in good faith, subject to applicable law.
Acceptable use
When using the Site, you agree not to:
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information, including someone else’s payment or identity information.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or any connected system.
- Interfere with the operation of the Site, including through automated scraping, denial-of-service activity, or the introduction of malicious code.
- Harass, threaten, or abuse our staff, volunteers, or other supporters through forms or messages submitted on the Site.
We may suspend or block access to the Site for anyone who violates these terms.
Content you submit
When you send us a message, sign up, or otherwise submit content, you grant CityPAC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use that content for the purpose of responding to you and carrying out our work. You are responsible for what you submit and confirm that you have the right to submit it. Please do not send us confidential information you do not want us to have.
Intellectual property
The CityPAC name, logo, text, design, and original graphics on this Site are the property of CityPAC and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce or use them for commercial purposes, or in a way that implies endorsement, without our written permission. Photographs on the Site may be licensed from third parties; see our image credits page for attribution and license terms.
Third-party links and services
The Site links to third-party websites and uses third-party services for payments, email, and form handling. We do not control those sites and services and are not responsible for their content, terms, or practices. Your use of them is governed by their own agreements.
Political speech and no endorsement of your views
Content on the Site reflects CityPAC’s positions and advocacy. Nothing on the Site is an offer of employment, legal advice, tax advice, or investment advice. References to candidates, officeholders, or organizations do not imply that they endorse CityPAC.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, CityPAC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that information on the Site is complete or current.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CityPAC and its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site will not exceed one hundred dollars ($100) or the amount you contributed to us in the twelve months preceding the claim, whichever is greater.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CityPAC and its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and agents from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of your use of the Site, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of these terms or your use of the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, and the “last updated” date above will reflect the most recent revision. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept them.
Severability
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full force and effect.
